Kathy Weigand

  A sixth generation Texan, Kathy Weigand was raised on the Rocking J ranch just outside Fredericksburg Texas.
  An accomplished photographer, Weigand studied with some of the world's leading Master Photographers.  Her prints have earned numerous awards at state, southwest regional, and International competitions, including several PPA Loan Collection Print Awards.
  Awarded the prestigious PPA Master of Photography (M. Photog.) Degree, Weigand has been an invited guest speaker, local art judge, community ed instructor, and hosted private lessons and workshops.
  As a youth, Kathy began sketching her family's horses and cattle.  Now she prefers working with a more limited palette of oil colors.  She enjoys watching a blank canvas 'come to life' with values, shapes, and colors.
  Artwork has been used in large corporate marketing, public displays, college, books,  publications, and sold to private collectors across the USA.
  Some clients/credits include: Lone Star Beer, St Judes, Nat'l Geographic Adventure Mag, Time Warner Cable, Cowboy & Indians Mag, Texas Highways, Texas Tech, A&M, Eppley, Harcourt Publ., Gaylord Texan Opryland Resort display, & Resurgence Mag (UK).
